Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate also known as Tetrapotassium Di-phosphate is potassium phosphate which is white hydroscopic powder. TKPP is an efficient buffering and dispersing agent. TKPP has higher solubility in water and has chelating capabilities. It has vast range of food and industrial uses.
Applications:
- Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate is widely used as buffering and dispersing agent
- Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate is also used as a protein modifier, coagulant and mineral supplement.
- TKPP has industrial use in paints and coatings, surface treatment, detergent manufacturing, etc
- TKPP is now also being used for oil drying and in production of synthetic rubber
